If you're receiving an error for insufficient funds but believe you have enough in your account, it's possible you have pending payments in your account. Deposits may appear in your account, but will not be available for transacting until they've fully settled.
If you have not made recent deposits or payments and believe you received the error by mistake, please contact support@aeropay.com.
Here’s a detailed look at Aeropay’s super simple payment process:

I’ve already linked my bank. Why am I being asked to reconnect it?
Aerosync may prompt you to reconnect your bank for several reasons: your bank login information has changed, your bank has updated security protocols, or other security checks required by your financial institution. Re-linking your account ensures a secure connection between Aerosync and your bank.
Why can’t I connect my savings account?
To maximize payment success rates, Aerosync currently only supports checking accounts.
Aerosync is directing me to a webpage outside of the app. What’s happening?
This redirection is a security measure. When you select your bank and click “Continue to [Bank Name],” you are sent to a secure web browser to enter your credentials directly on your bank’s site. After authentication, you’ll return to the app or platform you were using.
I connected my bank, but my account isn’t showing up. What happened?
You may have revoked permission for your bank to share information with Aerosync. Check your bank’s online banking app to confirm you’re still authorizing the connection. For example, in the Chase app: More > Security and Privacy > Linked Apps and Websites to review your connections.
My Chase account number is different in Aeropay. Why?
A recent change at Chase means that substitute bank account numbers are displayed in Aeropay after connecting. The last four digits in Aeropay may not match your actual bank account. Chase provides information about this change during the connection process. Substitute account numbers help enhance security for your Chase account.
Can I connect my family member’s bank account?
No. Only bank accounts in your name can be connected. Please do not connect accounts belonging to family or friends.
Can I connect my mother, brother, or partner’s bank account?
No. Only bank accounts in your name can be connected. Please do not connect accounts belonging to family members or friends.
Can I link my credit or debit card?
No. Aeropay accounts link directly to your bank, so credit or debit cards cannot be used.
I don’t remember my online banking credentials. How do I get connected?
Visit your bank’s website or open their online banking app to reset your username and/or password. Once updated, you can reconnect your account in Aerosync.
I can’t link my bank. What should I do?
If you can’t find your bank or have trouble connecting, try again using the bank selection screen. If issues persist, email support@aeropay.com, and a member of the Customer Care team will assist in linking your bank.
Is connecting my bank secure?
Yes. Aerosync uses bank-level encryption to protect your credentials. Your information is never stored or shared. During bank linking, you are redirected to a secure browser hosted by your bank to complete authentication.
I don’t see my bank listed. How can I connect it?
Aerosync connects to over 12,000 banks, with new ones added daily. If your bank isn’t listed, manually link it by selecting “Link Bank Manually”, entering your name, account number, and routing number, and receiving instant confirmation.
Aeropay Day occurs every other Thursday of the month. On Aeropay Day, eligible customers receive their rewards automatically. You can check the exact date of your upcoming Aeropay Day and view your rewards by logging into your Aeropay account under the Rewards tab. Rewards are deposited directly into your bank account, and your bank statement will show the deposit amount next to “AeroPayments.”
Rewards may not appear immediately for several reasons: if you made a qualifying payment on the day of Aeropay Day, your reward will post on the next Aeropay Day; only online payments that meet reward criteria qualify; refunded payments void the associated reward; declined payments during the reward period void rewards for that period; if none of these apply, contact support@aeropay.com for investigation.
Rewards are automatically deposited into your bank account on Aeropay Day. You can also view them in your Aeropay account profile under the Rewards tab.
No. A cell phone is required to set up an Aeropay account. For security purposes, both your bank and Aeropay use your phone number to authenticate your identity and protect your account information.
To delete your Aeropay account, please complete the account deletion form.
Important: If you have any pending transactions, your account will only be removed after those transactions are fully processed.

A payment terminal is a device merchants use to accept credit or debit card payments by swiping, dipping, or tapping a card. Traditional terminals require hardware, card networks, and PCI compliance, which can increase costs and operational complexity.
Aeropay Alternative: Aeropay is a pay-by-bank solution that eliminates the need for traditional card terminals. Customers pay directly from their bank account using QR codes or links, making transactions faster, more secure, and hardware-free.
Yes. Aeropay’s pay-by-bank solution works for in-store, online, and kiosk-based payments. Customers can complete transactions without a card, and merchants can receive instant or same-day settlements via ACH, RTP, or FedNow.
Absolutely. Customers authenticate directly with their bank using login credentials or biometric verification. Because Aeropay never stores card information, bank-authenticated payments reduce fraud risk and eliminate chargebacks.
ACH (Automated Clearing House) is a U.S. electronic payment network that moves money directly between bank accounts. Governed by Nacha, ACH is widely used for payroll, rent, bill payments, B2B invoices, and e-commerce checkout. Unlike card networks, ACH payments are bank-to-bank, batch-processed, and cost-effective—up to 70% cheaper than traditional card payments.
Key Features of ACH:
Aeropay builds on traditional ACH with modern pay-by-bank technology to deliver faster, safer, and more cost-effective payments:
Yes. Customers authenticate directly with their bank app or via biometric login, which is more secure than static card numbers. Aeropay’s bank-authenticated payments eliminate card fraud risk and chargebacks, making bank-to-bank payments safer than traditional card methods.
Online payments are digital transactions between customers and merchants. Most platforms, like Stripe, PayPal, Square, Adyen, or Amazon Pay, route transactions through card networks, which adds high fees, slower settlement, and chargeback risk.
Aeropay provides a cardless alternative using ACH, RTP, and FedNow, enabling bank-to-bank payments that are faster, more secure, and cheaper.
